What it means
A percentage from 20 selections and one from 2,000 can look identical on a card, but they do not have the same stability. A clear period avoids mixing seasons or model versions.

N and period: without them, a percentage is incomplete
`N` states how many observations enter a metric; the period states when they were observed. Both are needed for context.
